I was really disappointed when I went looking for a video of this one and came up empty handed. The closest thing I could get was with Dan Aykroyd, John Goodman, and Jim "I-Know-I'm-Not-John-But-I'm-Tryin'" Belushi live from just a few years ago, but it just doesn't sound the same. Personally I think that Jim and Goodman are great singers, but the performance just wasn't up to par.
This song is probably one of my favorite blues tunes of all time. Robert Johnson wrote this tune decades ago, but I've been in bands that play it today, and it never fails to get people's feet tapping. The Blues Brothers version is as solid as they get. If you haven't heard their music or seen the movies, I highly recommend both.
For those of you that don't know, the band in the movie are all real blues players (in particular Donald "Duck" Dunn on bass guitar and Steve Cropper on guitar are gigging musicians and can be seen at the Crossroads Guitar Festival just about every year) and toured as a group for several years. Today, there is only one sanctioned (by Aykroyd himself) tribute band, and some of the original members perform with them. They're not bad, but they're not Jake and Elwood. The original clip of the movie performance is available, but obviously, the band isn't being recorded live.
