I decided that after my last post I should post one video each of the artists that made up the supergroup. The first one will be Diamond Rio.
Diamond Rio was at the height of their fame in the late 80's and early 90's. They continued to record some bigger hits (“One More Day”, “Beautiful Mess”, etc.) into the 2000s, but they never quite duplicated their early success. They have great harmonies, and each of the players is very good on his respective instrument.
This song says a lot about American culture, and about how we value material possessions so highly. It’s true that it is all really just stuff. I’m just as guilty of this phenomena, if not more so, than anyone else, probably. I just buy stuff to buy it sometimes, but as I get older, I'm getting better about fighting the temptation. What a life we lead here in the U.S.
