Twentysomething - Jamie Cullum

This is the title track from Cullum's third album. It hit the US in 2004, two years years after I left college...the first time. This song wasn't released as a single, but it's often performed by Cullum at live performances. I initially saw him perform the song on The Tonight Show. This song saw some serious repeat play on my CD player at the time.

Cullum hasn't made it to be quite as famous in the states as in other places, but he's a great pianist. This song really sums up life for people my age...at least I hope I'm not the only one that feels this way. It's an age where you're still trying to sort out your life and figure out what you want to be when you grow up. I thought I'd have my life a lot more together by this age than I do. I don't know if that's based on the standards of our society or just what I think other people think I should be doing. Either way, I hope it clears up soon.
