This is a great version of this song. Flea's bass riff is ridiculous. What few shots you get of him playing, you can see him playing like crazy. It's just a good song with a lot of drive. The Chili Peppers definitely take it up a notch or two from the original, but they didn't capture quite the groove that the song's original artist did.
Stevie Wonder wrote the song and released it on his '73 album, Innervisions. The song was a #4 hit on the Hot 100. He wrote the song over the course of three hours when his creative mind was running at full throttle. He wrote a #4 hit song in three hours! Some people just get an enormous load of talent.
