Barber of Seville Overture - Rossini

It occurred to me today that I have yet to add a classical piece to my list. This is one of my favorite pieces. Yes, I know that I may be playing it fast and loose with the word "classical" as this piece may or may not be from the proper era, but I digress. This piece is just...awesome. I'm not even going to attempt to break it down. I don't have the musical expertise or knowledge for that. Besides, music should be more about the feel and the emotion.

It does allow me to talk about two of my other favorite things outside of music: cartoons and nostalgia. Both of those items are shown below. Some of you will recognize the Bugs Bunny cartoon "The Rabbit of Seville", which is very nostalgic for me. I also learned, after it passed through town, that there is a traveling show that puts a live orchestra score with classic Looney Tunes cartoons. I've also included a very cool video with a a drum kit accompaniment to this piece by Vadrum from YouTube.
