Our Kind of Love - Lady Antebellum

I couldn't listen to this song enough times when it first came out. It's got a weird beat that is driving and laid back all at the same time. The lyrics also capture the way it feels when you find that special someone, especially a young summer romance. The harmonies between Charles Kelley and Hillary Scott (lead vocalists) are amazing.  Dave Haywood - who is a very multi-talented musician - fills up the choruses very well when he joins them. It's an all around good country groove. This isn't the first song of the bands that I've dug, but it's a little different than all the others.

The song was the third single from the band's hugely popular Need You Now album, following "American Honey" and the title track. "Our Kind of Love" was written by the three members of the group and songwriter Mike Busbee. Busbee has worked with numerous artists and written songs for many different styles and genres. He has collaborated with Better than Ezra, Danny Gokey, Kid Cudi, Toni Braxton, Smash Mouth, Westlife, and Love and Theft, just to name a few.
